The Purpose of a GIN Student Admin Team Absentee Policy and Natural Consequences Protocol

The absentee protocol is used when members of the GIN Student Admin team will miss a meeting. The instructions in this page explain the process that students must follow if they will not be present in a meeting. Different scenarios and cases are explained as they require different action steps. The natural consequences protocol is used when students miss multiple unannounced and unexcused GIN Student Admin team meetings. This will help them reflect, along with the GIN directors about their commitment and why those meetings were missed.

GIN STUDENT ADMIN TEAM MEETING ABSENTEE POLICY

GIN Student Admin Team Members may be asked to meet (on Slack) in small groups or with the whole team. Given the global nature of our team and time zone differences, the GIN Staff and Meeting Facilitators will do their best to find a schedule that works for everyone as long as needs are communicated in a timely manner. We are here to support and empower you, meet you where you are, and problem-solve with you.
