This is in part due to help from our students.  This page is to highlight some of our students who have gone above and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;Attending our GIN conference gives you a multi-dimensional perspective that you would not be able to get in traditional classes.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"http:\/\/globalissuesnetwork.org\/rutland2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/75\/2020\/02\/Screen-Shot-2020-02-12-at-2.56.55-PM-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-269\" \/><figcaption>-Trevor MacKay &#8217;20<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;It is an opportunity to learn about new worldly perspectives and to gain a deeper understanding of the worlds problems.&#8221;<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"http:\/\/globalissuesnetwork.org\/rutland2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/75\/2020\/02\/Screen-Shot-2020-02-14-at-11.25.09-AM-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-291\" \/><figcaption>-Maya Sobel &#8217;20<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><em>&#8220;The theme this year really encompasses what GIN is.&nbsp; I think the GIN conference is all about including everyone from all over the state, other schools no matter where you come from.&nbsp; Having everyone come together and have the same experience and gain the same knowledge.&nbsp; GIN also gives students an opportunity to take on leadership roles.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"http:\/\/globalissuesnetwork.org\/rutland2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/75\/2020\/02\/Screen-Shot-2020-02-14-at-10.03.48-AM-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-280\" \/><figcaption>-Julia Greenfield &#8217;20<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><br>&#8220;T<em>he GIN Conference is a great learning experience for everybody because they can talk about the things that are troubling them or things that they care about.&nbsp; Then we can learn and work together&nbsp;to see how the community at Rutland High School can troubleshoot those issues within our school&#8221;<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"http:\/\/globalissuesnetwork.org\/rutland2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/75\/2020\/02\/unnamed-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-282\" \/><figcaption>-Giovanni Falco, 2021 Class President<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><br><em>&#8220;GIN is a chance for students to talk amongst themselves and spread the idea of discourse.&nbsp; They get to discuss these important issues and foster these insightful exchanges which&nbsp;I think are really helpful.&nbsp; I really like being a facilitator and seeing students that you may not have expected to participate in these conversations that can be controversial and actually seeing them participate.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-thumbnail\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" src=\"http:\/\/globalissuesnetwork.org\/rutland2020\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/75\/2020\/02\/Screen-Shot-2020-02-14-at-10.03.32-AM-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-281\" \/><figcaption>-Senan Pol &#8217;20<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">Marsha Cassel, a main organizer for the conference, teaches a Global Citizen Class.
