How much does it cost?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The price is $45 per student, but full and partial scholarships are available! When does registration close?<\/b><b><br \/><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Registration will run from December 1st through February 15th.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>4. Do I have to live in Washington to attend?<\/b><b><br \/><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">No! We encourage students to attend who do not live in the Seattle area, or in Washington. The geographical diversity of attendees is part of what makes the conference so special and globally-aware. What are the topics of the conference?<\/b><b><br \/><\/b><b><br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The WAGIN Conference will focus on the 20 sustainability goals outlined in the book <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">High Noon: 20 Global Problems, 20 Years to Solve Them<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> by Jean Francois Rischard. For a complete list of these goals, <a href=\"http:\/\/globalissuesnetwork.org\/learn-about-our-global-issues\/\">click here<\/a>.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0This year, we have also decided to add an additional goal of our own: Social and Racial Justice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>2. How should students prepare for the conference?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Each team of students will create and present their own workshop about a project they have been working on that addresses one or more of the 21 global issues. The workshop should address their goals, challenges, successes, and plans for the future. See below for more information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>3. What is the film festival?<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Students have the option to submit a 1-2 minute video related to one or more of the global issues. All films submitted will be shown during the conference. Possible options include: a public service announcement that informs about issues and inspires action, a documentary about action your team has taken towards solving a global problem, a narrative film that tells a story based around solving a social or environmental issue.
