Ruanne Barnabas <\/h3>\n

Associate Professor in Global Health[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.9.3″ text_font=”||||||||” text_font_size=”18px” text_line_height=”1.8em”]<\/p>\n

Ruanne Barnabas is an Associate Professor in Global Health and Medicine at the University of Washington and affiliate at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. She is a South African Physician-Epidemiologist. Her research focuses on interventions for HIV and STD treatment and prevention, and, more recently on COVID-19 prevention. She is the protocol chair of the Delivery Optimization for antiretroviral (DO ART) Study, which will evaluate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of decentralized, community-based ART initiation compared to clinic- based care. Also, she is the Principle Investigator for the COVID-19 PEP Study. She is the protocol chair for the Kenya Single-dose HPV vaccine Efficacy (KEN SHE) Study, which will evaluate the efficacy of single-dose HPV vaccination for women. The ultimate aim of her work is to identify effective and efficient treatment and prevention public health strategies.<\/p>\n

Scott Barnhart<\/h3>\n

Scott Barnhart has worked in a wide variety of clinical and public health settings and is interested in health system strengthening and capacity development of Ministries of Health and local NGO’s to develop independent programs to apply and implement grants and implement public health programs. Specific interests include strengthening of clinical facilities, informatics, VMMC and transition whenever possible of grants from UW to local NGO’s as a social justice matters.<\/span><\/p>\n

Phiona Marongwe is a nurse and Quality Assurance Officer at Zimbabwe Technical Training Education Centre for Health (ZimT-Tech). She is experienced in a number of areas including patient care, quality improvement, research, and protection of clients and staff from COVID.<\/p>\n

Liza Goldberg<\/h3>\n

Liza Goldberg is a biospheric researcher at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and a first-year student at Stanford University. She began her research at NASA at age 14, and employs remote sensing to monitor global mangrove ecosystem vulnerability. Liza also leads Cloud to Classroom, an education initiative with Google Earth to bring satellite analysis to K-12 classrooms worldwide. Liza is a National Geographic Young Explorer, and her research has been recognized in films by Google Inc., NowThis, and NBC\u2019s Today Show, as well as publications in the\u00a0Washington Post<\/i>,\u00a0Scholastic Science World<\/i>, and Google\u2019s\u00a0The Keyword<\/i>.<\/span><\/p>\n
