Eyal Weintraub<\/h3>\n

Eyal Weintraub<\/strong> is a 21-year-old climate activist from Argentina, an international relationships student, and a National Geographic young explorer. In 2019 he co-founded Youth For Climate Argentina<\/strong> (an organization in which he actively participates), a climate movement that has mobilized over 100,000 people in Argentina and has been essential in the approval of environmental laws in his country.\u00a0<\/span>
He is CBO at Tekoha, an incubator of environmental initiatives specializing in developing young\u00a0people’s capacity to plan and implement impact projects that solve issues related to the climate and ecological crisis.<\/span>
In 2021 he published a book on environmental activism alongside Bruno Rodriguez for Penguin Random House editorial called “La Generaci\u00f3n Despierta” and Co-produced and Co-hosted an environmental podcast for National Geographic and Radio Disney Latinamerica called “Lo Que Haces Cuenta”.<\/span>
Currently, he is part of the first generation of students at the Fratelli Tutti Political School for young international leaders.<\/span>
He is also the director of a project called “Alerta Celsius” which develops capacitation and workshops aimed at teachers and students to improve the quantity and quality of environmental education in Argentina.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Ngonidzashe Chirinda<\/strong> is an Assistant Professor at UM6P. He has expertise in Agroecology and Climate-Smart Agriculture. He was a lead author in the 2019 Refinement to the IPCC\u2019s 2006 GHG inventory guidelines and is a coordinating lead author for a chapter in the Africa Integrated Assessment of Air Pollution and Climate Change report.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ruanne Barnabas <\/h3>\nAssociate Professor in Global Health[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=\"4.9.3\" text_font=\"||||||||\" text_font_size=\"18px\" text_line_height=\"1.8em\"]

Ruanne Barnabas is an Associate Professor in Global Health and Medicine at the University of Washington and affiliate at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. She is a South African Physician-Epidemiologist. Her research focuses on interventions for HIV and STD treatment and prevention, and, more recently on COVID-19 prevention. She is the protocol chair of the Delivery Optimization for antiretroviral (DO ART) Study, which will evaluate the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of decentralized, community-based ART initiation compared to clinic- based care. Also, she is the Principle Investigator for the COVID-19 PEP Study. She is the protocol chair for the Kenya Single-dose HPV vaccine Efficacy (KEN SHE) Study, which will evaluate the efficacy of single-dose HPV vaccination for women. Scott Barnhart has worked in a wide variety of clinical and public health settings and is interested in health system strengthening and capacity development of Ministries of Health and local NGO's to develop independent programs to apply and implement grants and implement public health programs. Phiona Marongwe<\/h3>\n

Phiona Marongwe is a nurse and Quality Assurance Officer at Zimbabwe Technical Training Education Centre for Health (ZimT-Tech). Liza Goldberg<\/h3>\n

Liza Goldberg is a biospheric researcher at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and a first-year student at Stanford University. She began her research at NASA at age 14, and employs remote sensing to monitor global mangrove ecosystem vulnerability. Liza also leads Cloud to Classroom, an education initiative with Google Earth to bring satellite analysis to K-12 classrooms worldwide.
