What is the Little GINners Conference?

It is an activity that will allow children under 11 years old to learn about global problems, identify a problem in their community and develop an idea to solve it.

What is the conference schedule?

  • Friday, February 7, 2020: 7:30 am – 2:00 pm
  • Saturday, February 8, 2020: 7:30 am – 2:00 pm
  • Sunday, February 9, 2020: 7:30 am – 2:00 pm

¿Dónde se llevará a cabo la Conferencia?

The Conference will be held at Golden Valley School, Heredia, San Isidro.

¿Cómo participarán de la Conferencia?

For those who have not participated in the GIN Camp, they will have several work sessions in which they can develop the idea. For the children who went to the Camp, they will have sessions to be able to improve, review and give more shape to their previously developed project or idea.

How is the dress?

Children can come in particular clothes.

Where can I register?

Go to the sub page called “inscriptions”, look for the Little GINners option, complete the registration form with the required information. Finally, make the payment to the bank account found in the registration part. Remember to send proof of payment to imagingvs@gvsstudent.com.

 

\Who will be in charge of the children??\

Professor María Fallas will be in charge of the children. Additionally, there will be eleventh and twelfth grade student volunteers who will be caring, helping and guiding the Little GINners. What will be in charge of the children?

How will they work to implement the project they carry out at the Conference for the Scientific Fair?

From this year the modality of Scientific Fair will have a change, now it will be the Innovation Fair. The idea is that the project that is developed can be continued during classes with their teammates.

Friday is a school day, is my child’s absence excused?

It has been coordinated with administration so that the absence is justified.

How does transportation work during conference days?

Since Friday, February 7 is a school day, students who use the bus service can use it at 3:00 pm. For the next two days, it is the responsibility of the parents to pick up their children.

Until when is there time to make the deposit?

To make the payment there is time until Tuesday, February 4.

What will be the cost?

The cost is $ 50 per participant for a conference day and $ 65 per participant for three conference days. Includes food (lunch for three days and two snacks per day), conference bottle, necessary materials, informative talks and activities.
