Eyal Weintraub
Eyal Weintraub is a 21-year-old climate activist from Argentina, an international relationships student, and a National Geographic young explorer. In 2019 he co-founded Youth For Climate Argentina (an organization in which he actively participates), a climate movement that has mobilized over 100,000 people in Argentina and has been essential in the approval of environmental laws in his country.
He is CBO at Tekoha, an incubator of environmental initiatives specializing in developing young people’s capacity to plan and implement impact projects that solve issues related to the climate and ecological crisis.
In 2021 he published a book on environmental activism alongside Bruno Rodriguez for Penguin Random House editorial called “La Generación Despierta” and Co-produced and Co-hosted an environmental podcast for National Geographic and Radio Disney Latinamerica called “Lo Que Haces Cuenta”.
Currently, he is part of the first generation of students at the Fratelli Tutti Political School for young international leaders.
He is also the director of a project called “Alerta Celsius” which develops capacitation and workshops aimed at teachers and students to improve the quantity and quality of environmental education in Argentina.
Ngonidzashe Chirinda
Dr. Ngonidzashe Chirinda is an Assistant Professor at UM6P. He has expertise in Agroecology and Climate-Smart Agriculture. He was a lead author in the 2019 Refinement to the IPCC’s 2006 GHG inventory guidelines and is a coordinating lead author for a chapter in the Africa Integrated Assessment of Air Pollution and Climate Change report.
