What To See
Beautiful places in the city include Plaza Botero, perhaps the most emblematic site of Medellin for its architecture, ambience and of course, the Botero statues. Museo de Antioquia is the most significant museum in Medellin, and it is worth paying a visit. Botero’s paintings and sculptures can be found, but many other international artists are also featured. Going to the Botanical Garden is a beautiful experience no visitor should miss. Located in the “Zona Norte,” is this beautiful green space to wander around. Parque Explora, an interactive museum, is a science museum where learning is experiential, a supremely interesting place. Eating at Mercado del Rio, which offers a wide variety of foods is also a great experience to have. Visiting Parque Arví, a natural reserve that boasts great views, is another great experience, and riding the Metro Cable to get there is the fastest and best way to get there.
