TCS GIN Team
The Columbus School has had a long history working with GIN. The first team that traveled to an international conference did it in 2011. The projects were not 100% established but it was a very valuable learning experience. Since that year, a different team of students has represented the school in at least one conference per year. The group of students that traveled to the 2013-2014 is considered the GIN pioneer at our school as they banned most plastic and coordinated GIN Medellín, TCS’s first international GIN conference. The current Sustainability team at the school was formed before GIN Medellín; the Greenhouse, Accreditation, Carbon Team initiatives as we know them were launched. The then middle-schoolers leading this initiative are now the main members of the TCS GIN Team/Sustainability team: the one that’s coordinating EmerGINcy. With a vast experience, the current TCS GIN/sustainability team has very high expectations for the conference and they hope you do too. It is going to be Amazing!
