A newly-created, student-led GIN program that will build its participants’ leadership and mentorship skills, create equitable and sustainable impact within participants’ GIN School communities, and grow our local-regional-global Global Issues Networks. As a member of the GIN Bridge Program Team you will be building the foundation for generations of GIN Alumni to engage and empower our global network as leaders, mentors, and network builders.
What: The Global Issues Network Global Bridge Program is a student-led GIN program
We build leadership and mentorship skills, create equitable and sustainable impact within our GIN School communities, and grow the Global Issues Network on local, regional and global scales.
Two Planning and Building Stages to Grow the GIN Global Bridge Program and Team:
The program currently has two planning and building stages. The first planning and building stage will set the foundation of our program, this is called The Founders Planning and Building Stage. The second stage will test and develop the Global Bridge pilot program. We will focus on growing and strengthening both the team and the program, this will be called the Growth Planning and Building Stage.
How: For those interested in join the GIN Bridge Founders Team. You will apply and begin in June.
The Global Bridge Founders will be trained to follow and champion GIN Team best practices and systems. All Bridge Team Members will be required to complete a leadership program as well as a GIN learning process. We encourage all of our GIN Leaders to reflect upon how they navigate in the world empower themselves as leaders of today and how they might realize their potential as a member of the GIN Global Bridge Team.
The Founders Team will be responsible for building and drafting the first GIN Bridge Strategic Plan. This GIN Global Bridge Strategic Plan will begin outlining and setting the path for Bridge learning processes, goals, materials, strategies and equitable sustainable systems. This will be tested and reiterated annually based on new learning. The Founders, having tested the Bridge materials and training, will determine how best to strengthen the Bridge program. They will use their experience and collaborate with experts in our network.
In mid August of 2020, the Bridge Program will welcome new Bridge Team members. New members will be supported and trained by the Founders Team. This will begin the second stage of our GIN Bridge Program development phase, the Growth Planning and Building Stage.
New members will follow the updated learning process supported by their Bridge Peers and mentors, just as the founders team did before them. They too will have the opportunity to build their understanding of self, recognize their potential and become familiar with GIN Student Led Programs and systems as leaders within our organization. All the while prioritizing continuous stakeholder feedback and learning to ensure that we are innovating and empathetically supporting our network with viable and relevant solutions. The Bridge Program Team will continue to build partnerships with schools around the world and grow the GIN Alumni Network.
Age: Students who graduated in 2020 or who are expected to graduate in 2021. Please note that if you are a minor we will require a legal guardian’s permission to participate in order for you to be considered as a candidate.
